Asia Comic Con 2018 Day 1

Finally another big con to attend to!! I was really excited to see that Asia Comic Con was to make their first ever debut here in Thailand, though many people have said that this might be some sort of replacement con for AFA? I don't really now if its true but I dear hope it isn't because I would really be bummed out by that :< Anyways, since I have started summer holidays I was able to attend the con from Friday! And so I got ready that morning and decided to debut Mirai Kuriyama from Kyoukai no Kanata or Beyond the Boundary! I binge watched season 1 and already fell in love with Mirai and her clumsiness yet she is able to showcase such a strong and bold personality in battle. Her blood sword was one of the missions of the day for it was made from an acrylic material and weighed quite something. I carefully packed it and wrapped it in bubble wrap in case the public transports here mind end up questioning me like I was planning on murdering someone...

When I reached the escalator that brings you to the venue area, I had this sense of nervousness. Not the kind I would get because of the huge amount of crowds that would flooding the area right now, but because it was literally the opposite. As in: No one was there. I wasn't shocked as I knew it was Friday and back to school season for all your local Thai school kiddos. But it was just this eerie feeling of "where the hell did everyone go??" Anyways I found a good spot to sit by and whipped out my phone to take some selfies in time being. My lovely children were otw so I was more than happy to wait for them. I took some selfies for the fan signs I had promised and then slowly photographers would come by and I can tell even they were disappointed by the amount of cosplayers that ended up showing. I spent a few more hours just hanging around in boredom with my friend who was Todoroki and we both were very much dying of boredom at this very point.

Thank god after I almost gave up, my wonderful precious children arrived! They gestured me from a distance that they'd be at the bathroom so I nodded and gestured back that I'd be waiting for them. Then after meeting up we took photos and bumped into this enthusiastic couple who happens to be cosplayers as well! I go to know them as Wayne and Elizabeth! They both just moved to Thailand and didn't know that there was a con so I was kind enough to inform them and introduced them to Props&Ops so they can keep up to date with the latest events to come. After snapping a few pics with them I then met my boy Gun who was Pips! And the fangirling moment I met Jessie who was Pops and whom I've been a fan of her cosplays for such a long time ;o; She was honestly the cutest and most soft cinnamon ever irl!! Then I met Josh who was in his casual form of his amazing Ezreal cosplay and we had random shenanigans later at the fountain area. Since there wasn't much to be done, we all decided to wrap things up by heading to McDonalds and chatting there till it was time to go home. Looking forward for tar's con!!
