The last Maruya was not what I expected. But! That doesn’t mean I’ll give up! I’m excited because my coscards were printed and ready to be given to everyone! Both me and Saige were ready to nail this as Bort and Dia together. As I slept over at her place, we worked really hard on our wigs spraying, decorating, making sure we got the references right. Without her I probably wouldn’t be able to have the confidence to cosplaying characters from Houseki again. And so we rested well and woke up feeling refreshed and got ready for the event. I didn’t do my makeup yet because I’ll be doing it at the event instead where my uniform which was with my friend Zakia will be picked up there as well.

Bort’s Wig is no joke honestly, we were bummed when we first ordered it because it looked nothing like the goddamn Taobao photo at all. But regardless we still tried to work it out a bit so ehhh. Saige wore her wig when we reached the event and I did my makeup. After getting into my costume and everything I felt complete. I didn’t mind that there were other Dia’s because I knew that my hard work and confidence shouldn’t be brought down by others. Not this time! Rin was our Antarc today so we were all Gems! I met P’Kate who was Okuyasu from JJBA and a whole crew of cosplayers cafe for a JJBA meet up!

I went up stairs to the Maruya floor and visited the stalls above. I bought Sanrio Danshi Pin’s for myself and browsed for more stuff to buy. Honestly it was pretty hot outside and I was dying in my gem cosplay. My children Carl and Bob arrived and so was their photographer friend as well. We chatted and took some meme pics and all that jazz. My boi Gun was at the event as Cinnamon from Nekopara and yes yes yes nail that girlll. Purin was there too and it was her last time at an event which she chose to attend causally for she was leaving for Osaka the next day for her student exchange trip. It was nice to be able to chat with her because she’s such a sweet heart. If it wasn’t for her I wouldn’t even be going to the White Diamonds Studio where I would be getting my photos done.

Later on me and Saige took some ship pictures of us as Dia and Bort. It was pretty much the highlight of the day haha. Then Zakia, P’Rain, P’Mon and others came to us as the Sanrio Danshi group! I can’t wait to cosplay Mizuno soon as I relate to him so much so hopefully soon!! After the event ended I went home pretty exausted but I was happy. Thank you to those who came to ask for photos!
