Japan Expo 2017

Ahhh Where should I start? Honestly with school piling up here and there on homework, tests, projects, I was sure I had no time for cosplaying or costests knowing that I have to worry about all these first. But it all changed when the event that I usually attend which is called "JAPAN EXPO" suddenly made an announcement saying that cosplaying is allowed this year and I was just drop dead excited! So just a background info on what goes on exactly at Japan Expo is that it is an event where people who admire Japan come and visit schools or university's and schools who are more than happy to answer your questions and concerns. Then on the other side of the hall is where the events, shows, food, and other stuff are sold!

Deciding that since I have not property tested the entire new 2B cosplay yet, why not wear it to the event? I actually wore half of my cosplay to the event leaving only my top to be something else and 2B's skirt and boots on the lower half. Reaching there I did my makeup finishing off the base that I did from home and put on the rest of my cosplay! I was to meet my friend Saige who would my lovely A2 and I was really excited!! I first entered the event and headed over to the information counter to meet my big sis (we use the honorific "P" in Thai so it is equivalent to older bro/sis) P'Som or "Orange" in Thai. She is a big Baozi & Hana fan and helps take orders within Thailand for those interested in their merchandise or their makeup line "Flower Knows" which is over flooding with new arrivals! I ordered a special phonebook that they were featured in along with 3 other Chinese cosplayers called "Buttons, Zippers, and Shorts" which the theme focused on school days!

She told me since she was going to be there all day I could just come and pick it up after the event so I agreed and went on. There were so many things to see! I saw my favorite pop up store come and new acrylic keychains were sold along with other new arrivals. I bought an adorable 2B acrylic keychain with little cat ears on her head! I then finally met Saige and she looked stunning! We entered the event again and spent more time collecting and visiting the educational side of the event to hunt for summer schools we can hopefully attend to together next year! I visited my other sis P'Kingpai who was cosplaying as Yuuri and was also one of the exhibitors at the event. I met her back at the YOI Only Event with Saige and was excited to see her again. We took a few selfies and went on about our day. We then met up with 2 other friends of mine and proceeded to buy sugar coned milk flavored soft serves which tasted bomb af btwww.

After strolling again here and there and buying some small merch we were then called by a fellow photographer who wanted to take our photo together as 2B and A2! We posed, Awkwardly but still happy that someone wanted a photo of us either way. We then visited an amazing free exibition called "Poupelle in Chimneytown" by illustrator Nishino Akihiro. The art itself was very expressive and thus even allows one to understand without any plain text or some sort of explanation. Finally it was time to go back and so I changed out of my cosplay and met up one last time with P'Som and I collected my order and placed a new one for the Flower Knows latest arrivals. Even though the event itself was sorta rushed especially me deciding whether to cosplay or not, I had a lot of fun meeting with my friends and taking pictures with people! I do hope to visit more cons soon after my hiatus, and I will resume this coming November for the biggest game festival of the year!
